BAE summit is a one-day business focused conference that will equip participants as well as prompt them to the creation of the new wave of Nigeria SMEs, and co-create an action agenda for growth and job creation. This will be a unique opportunity to listen, interact and network with experts who have grown their business from little or no investment to multi-million business ventures at this period of economic downturn.

BAE Summit is a one day business-focused conference that equips students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria and prompt them to the creation of the new wave of Nigeria SMEs. It also co-creates an action agenda for growth and job creation in the country.

Experts (successful and young) from different fields both home and abroad will be sharing success examples to set up learnings. They would energize Nigeria’s SMEs to create the needed jobs and provide stability at this period of economic downturn.

It is a unique opportunity to listen and network with champions of entrepreneurship; people who have grown their businesses from little or no investment to multi-million business ventures.


The maiden edition was a phenomenal with 657 participants (students and non-students from various parts of Nigeria).

It featured prominent young and successful entrepreneurs across Africa including Vincent

Adeoba (CEO, Seravision brooks) who started his business while on campus with #200 and was able to

grow it through hard work and determination to 2 million naira per semester. He spoke on start-up

Innovations at the summit.

Other speakers at the summit include Dr. Ayo’ Ajayi (Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship, Federal University of Technology, Akure Ondo State) who delivered a wonderful keynote address and opened the eyes of the participants to various grants and loans available to run sustainable and profitable businesses; Oladeji Jameelah Kehinde (CEO, Slitz

Couture and Fashion Academy, Ibadan) who spoke on ‘Building your confidence to do business in

different cultures and markets’;  Ifeoluwa Adeniyi (Senior Farm consultant at Pristine Farm Resources,

Ibadan) spoke on ‘Turning passion to business’; Janet Machuka (Founder of and

social media influencer in Kenya) spoke on Skype on ‘Personal Branding and designing the market posts’

Adepeju Jaiyeoba (vague) who is a White House Emerging Global entrepreneur and Founder, Mothers’

Delivery Kit as well as Olufemi Iroko (Co-founder, Career Drive Academy) who clearly took participants

through developing viable business plan.

The summit was recorded to have birthed 23 businesses on FUTA campuses in its First Year already.
